Previously there was this site http:www.whois.sc which gave great details down to how many sites are hosted on same server, ranking, keywords, domains associated with registrar name, how many times a domain changed ownership, but then the site all the sudden started pointing to http:www.domaintools.com which gives a detailed whois but not as great as previous one.
