I saw him in a "Have Gun-WIll Travel" from '57. He looked ok but he never did anything strenuous. The odd thing was he never took off his hat. I think it was his last appearance. Nicely directed by his son.

I caught the end last night just where you mentioned. You're right. Watching McLaglen look around to see who is watching looks embarassed enough. I guess I was paying more attention to him trying to "tough" his way out of the situation. That may help...
