Acta Crystallographica Section E

Structure Reports Online was launched in January 2001 as the IUCr's first electronic-only journal. It is a rapid communication journal for the publication of concise reports on inorganic, metal-organic and organic structures, and benefits from an enhanced electronic publication procedure. Each published report includes a set of key indicators, giving a summary of the main descriptors of the precision and completeness of the study, with indications of problems such as disorder. The publication...

Dicyclohexylammonium bis(chlorodifluoroacetato-O)cyclohexyldiphenylstannate(IV) - April 26, 2008

In the title mixed-organyl stannate, (C12H24N)Sn(C6H5)2(C6H11)(CClF2O2)2, there are two cations and two anions in the asymmetric unit. Each five-coordinate Sn atom shows trans-C3SnO2 trigonal bipyramidal coordination. The four SnO distances are approximately equal in the two independent anions. Each ammonium cation serves as a hydrogen-bond donor to two stannates, the hydrogen-bonding interactions giving rise to linear hydrogen-bonded chains.

Hexakis(1H-imidazole-N3)manganese(II) triaquatris(1H-imidazole-N3)manganese(II) bis(naphthalene-1,4-dicarboxylate) - April 26, 2008

In the crystal structure of the title compound, Mn(C3H4N2)6Mn(C3H4N2)3(H2O)3(C12H6O4)2, there are uncoordinated naphthalenedicarboxylate dianions and two kinds of MnII complex cations, both assuming a distorted octahedral geometry. One MnII cation is located on an inversion center and is coordinated by six imidazole molecules, while the other MnII cation is located on a twofold rotation axis and is coordinated by three water molecules and three imidazole units. The naphthalenedicarboxylate...

Aquabis(1H-imidazole-N3)bis(4-methylbenzoato-2O,O)cadmium(II) - April 26, 2008

In the title compound, Cd(C8H7O2)2(C3H4N2)2(H2O), the CdII atom is coordinated by four carboxylate O atoms from two bidentate chelating 4-methylbenzoate ligands, two N atoms from two imidazole ligands and one water molecule in a distorted pentagonal bipyramidal geometry. Intermolecular OH...O hydrogen bonds between the coordinated water molecule and the carboxylate O atoms of 4-methylbenzoate lead to an infinite chain. These chains are further self-assembled into a two-dimensional layer through.

Aquachlorido(4-methylbenzoato-O)(1,10-phenanthroline-2N,N)copper(II) - April 26, 2008

In the title mononuclear complex, Cu(C8H7O2)Cl(C12H8N2)(H2O), the CuII atom is coordinated by one carboxylate O atom from a monodentate 4-methylbenzoate ligand, two N atoms from the 1,10-phenanthroline ligand, one chloride ion and one water molecule in a square-pyramidal geometry. The crystal structure exhibits inter- and intramolecular CH...Cl, CH...O, OH...Cl and OH...O hydrogen bonds, as well as CH... interactions of phenanthroline and methyl H atoms towards the -systems of neighboring...

4-(Dimethylamino)pyridinium dibromidotriphenylstannate(IV) - April 26, 2008

The anion in the title salt, (C7H11N2)SnBr2(C6H5)3, lies on a twofold rotation axis that passes through the metal atom as well as the CipsoCpara atoms of one of the aromatic rings. The metal center is five-coordinate in a trans-Br2SnC3 trigonal bipyramidal geometry. The cation is disordered about a center of inversion.

Bis-bis(diphenylphosphino)methane-2P:Pbis(chlorodifluoroacetato-O)silver(I)(AgAg) - April 26, 2008

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, Ag2(C2ClF2O2)2(C25H22P2)2, consists of two half-molecules, each AgI ion lying on a center of symmetry. In each complete molecule, two bis(diphenylphosphino)methane ligands bridge two AgI ions, which are further coordinated by one chlorodifluoroacetate ligand, giving T-shaped geometries and short intramolecular Ag...Ag distances of 3.1078(6) and 2.9950(6). In one molecule, the unique CF2Cl group is rotationally disordered over two sites with approximate.

Dichloridobis(2-1-2-(1H-indol-3-yl)ethyliminioethylphenolate-O)zinc(II)2-1-2-(1H-indol-3-yl)ethyliminioethylphenolate (12) - April 26, 2008

In the mononuclear complex molecule of the title compond, ZnCl2(C18H18N2O)22C18H18N2O, the Zn atom, which lies on a twofold rotation axis, is coordinated by phenolate O atoms in a tetrahedral coordination geometry. The coordinated Schiff base uses its indole NH donor site to form a hydrogen bond to the negatively charged phenolate O atom of the uncoordinated zwitterionic Schiff base. There is an intramolecular NH...O hydrogen bond in the coordinated and uncoordinated Schiff bases. The indole NH.

catena-Polycyclohexyldiphenyltin(IV)--hydroxido-2O:O - April 26, 2008

The title polymeric mixed-organyl tin hydroxide, Sn(C6H5)2(C6H11)(OH)n, hass a hydroxide-bridged chain structure; the tin center shows trans-C3SnO2 trigonal bipyramidal coordination. The Sn atom lies on a special position of site symmetry m; the symmetry element relates one phenyl ring to the other and also relates one half of the cyclohexyl ring to the other half.

Aquachloridodimethylphenyltin(IV)15-crown-5 (21) - April 26, 2008

The SnIV atom in the title compound, 2Sn(CH3)2(C6H5)Cl(H2O)C10H20O5, exists in a trans-C3SnClO trigonal bipyramidal geometry in which the organo substituents occupy the equatorial sites. The coordinated water molecule forms two hydrogen bonds to the 15-crown-5molecule, which is disordered about a center of inversion.

Cyclopentyldiphenyl(4-thiosemicarbazonopentanoato-O)tin(IV) - April 26, 2008

The Sn atom in the title compound, Sn(C5H9)(C6H5)2(C6H10N3O2S), exists within a tetrahedral geometry. The NH2 group forms a weak hydrogen bond across a center of inversion to the S atom of an adjacent molecule, as well as another weaker hydrogen (across another center of inversion) to the Sn-bound O atom of another molecule. The hydrogen-bonded layer structure is consolidated by a strong hydrogen bond between the NH group and the uncoordinated O atom of a third molecule.
