The Eggcorn Database Comments- v. 0.5by: Venus As A Boy.- December 9, 2006 I was confused about that too, What DOES slow-eyed meanhttp://eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/303/slow/#comments by: URAJackass- December 8, 2006 Wow you caught grammatical errors in forum posts and user submissions in imdb congrats! Who gives a fuck is someone said fullproof instead of foolproof on a forum jackasshttp://eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/845/fullproof/#comments by: Emily-Elizabeth- December 6, 2006 I think that, based off of the content of these entries, it can be chalked up to basic human stupidity.http://eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/507/atom/#comments by: Emily-Elizabeth- December 6, 2006 My great-grandmother had Alzheimer&8217;s (or just the senility that comes with extremely advanced age) before she died when I was nine. I heard the word bandied back and forth by the adults, and my child&8217;s ears heard it as &8220;Old-Timer&8217;s,&8221; mostly because she was 97 when she passed away. It wasn&8217;t until several years later, when I actually saw the word written, did I realize my mistake.http://eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/337/old-timers/#comments by: Emily-Elizabeth- December 6, 2006 I think that, more than anything, this should be attributed to simple illiteracy.http://eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/575/but/#comments by: Emily-Elizabeth- December 6, 2006 This seems more like bad spelling than an actual Eggcorn.http://eggcorns.lascribe.net/english/728/offened/#comments |
