use Perl Journal Searchuse Perl Journal SearchRakudo (Perl 6 on Parrot) progress report (2008.07.01 0:59)- July 1, 2008 This is the third "monthly" report for my development grant from the Mozilla Foundation and The Perl Foundation. As regular readers will have surmised by now, the definition of "month" has been stretched a bit for a variety of reasons, but as this report and the other reports will show, it's not been a hindrance to our progress. To review, the primary goals of this grant are: To have a Perl 6 on Parrot implementation that supports commonly-used Perl 6 constructs; Improvements to the Perl 6...http://use.perl.org/~pmichaud/journal/36826?from=rss European Perl Tour: Portugal (2008.07.01 0:33)- July 1, 2008 Now that YAPC::NA is over, I can start getting things off my to-do list. This is the first in a series of posts detailing my Perl tour of Europe.I had never been to Portugal (not counting a stop-over in the Azores to refuel a plane), so I was excited to be able to go to a Perl workshop there. The DM&39;s Guide is very much like the 3E &34;Dungeon Master&39;s Guide II,&34; which really blew me away when I first saw it. It&39;s sort of like the Pragmatic Programmer for Dungeon...http://use.perl.org/~rjbs/journal/36824?from=rss Speaker Mentor Program:Slideware (2008.06.30 21:47)- July 1, 2008 For the upcoming Pittsburgh Perl Workshop in Oct and YAPC::NA 2009 I want to offer a speaker mentor program. I really don't know how I am going to do this just yet, but one thing I know is, I will need is slideware suggestions for potential speakers. What do people like and why do they like it This is asked from the perspective of the speaker and as an audience member. Wikipedia has not let me down it does give me a decent start but I would like to see what the Perl community has...http://use.perl.org/~rblackwe/journal/36823?from=rss |
