An engineer at a Sun partner (an integrator) asked me today whether IPMP (IP Multipathing) could be used on a pair of interfaces that were not the same type. For example, say you have a V880 with a fibre-based gigabit interface (ge0) and a 100baseT interface (eri0) and wish to use them in a failover pair.
