Dave Newhouse: Long way from 'Wrong Way" - July 3, 2008

Florence Coustier's 15 minutes of fame adds up to one hour. That's because Coustier had separate encounters with four iconic pilots - Charles Lindbergh, Howard Hughes, Amelia Earhart, and Douglas ''Wrong Way'' Corrigan. So four times 15 minutes makes it one hour. That's quite a celebrity list, though, for this 92-year-old Alameda resident to have acquired in one lifetime. How bloggers blocked Alameda's bike ban - July 3, 2008

Last night, the City Council stepped back from the brink of madness and changed the ordinance language back to a more reasonable no-skateboarding-where-posted approach. "It's an interesting time we live in with these blogs," said Ms. Goldman. "They can.
