TOKYOPOP restructures, cuts jobs - June 3, 2008

Rumors abounded at Book Expo this past weekend about the financial state of manga publisher TOKYOPOP, and now ICV2.com reports the company is spinnig off its film and digital units from its publishing operation, which will reduce its publishing output for the rest of the year by half and cut 39 jobs. Kurt Busiek's year of writing 'Trinity' - June 2, 2008

DC Comics has long been defined by its three most-recognizable superheroes: Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. All three bear the unique honor of having been continuously published since the Golden Age, but the connections between these characters in the larger DC Universe has always been somewhat disjointed. Tackling this head on is Trinity, a new weekly series that debuts this week (minisite, preview) that writer Kurt Busiek says will define, challenge and ultimately redefine the relationship.
