The Ypulse Mashup is buzzing this morning with attendees talking about teen and tween research, YA publishing and youth activism. Click on the session title..

Channeling Something Positive From 'Bad Avatars' - July 11, 2008

I did a taped interview earlier this week for The CBS Early Show on "avatars behaving badly" -- it's supposed to air on Monday morning (and I might do a live interview at 5 a.m.) but of course, it might get bumped, too (it was supposed to air Thursday and today so far...). Anyhow, one of the questions focused on how teens will hack into each others' accounts, steal virtual stuff, or find other ways to "cheat" in virtual worlds. What was interesting to me is the gray area of this being "wrong"...

With "High School Musical 3" hitting theaters soon, it was inevitable that Vanessa Hudgens would end up on someone's August cover -- and CosmoGIRL! snagged her. Other young Hollywood highlights include "Mamma Mia!" star Amanda Seyfried, "The House Bunny" lead Anna Faris, and little-sis-to-Lindsay Ali Lohan. Right on the heels of Jamie Lynn's "perfect pregnancy," CG...

Wikipedia Young People's Number Two Source For Company Info - July 10, 2008

Many months ago I spoke on a panel at the Churchill Club about the issue of "trust" that was sponsored by Edelman PR, which publishes an annual Trust Barometer.
