Another day, another decision; Charles N'Zogbia is today linked with a move to Arsenal after mentioning his dreams of playing for them date back to his childhood. The confused 22 year old who originally said he felt homesick in the North East & wanted a move to London, with Spurs being his aim. Guthrie Set For Medical - July 11, 2008

Liverpool's Danny Guthrie looks all set to join Newcastle after a fee was agreed between the two clubs. An official statement has been released by the head of Liverpool FC press, Ian Cotton who said: "We have agreed a transfer fee with Newcastle United for the transfer of Danny Guthrie. We have now given Newcastle permission to speak directly with the player."

Sky Sports have announced their initial televised fixtures and Newcastle United's opening day clash with Premier League Champions Manchester United will be their 3rd televised match of the season. The game will now take place in the 4pm Super Sunday slot directly after Portsmouth host Chelsea at lunchtime, instead of at 3pm on the Saturday.

Edgar Fighting Fit After Hernia Op - July 9, 2008

Newcastle United's young defender David Edgar has successfully under gone a hernia operation during the close season and returned to full training on Monday. The Canadian Under 20's captain signed for Newcastle on 1st July 2003 and made his home debut for Newcastle on 1st January 2007 against Manchester United, receiving a heroes welcome as he netted the equalising goal.

Magpies raise thousands for Charity - July 8, 2008

Twenty-Six Newcastle United fans raised thousands of pounds for charity by living their dream & playing on the hallowed turf at St James' Park. Nearly £13,000 was raised by Magpies, each of whom had paid for the unique chance to pull on the famous black & white shirt & play in a 90 minute fully officiated charity football match on the 7th May 2008, alongside legends Ian Bogie & John Anderson.

At no point this weekend has Newcastle United striker Obafemi Martins claimed he is unhappy at the club and wants a move to Arsenal as implied by some leading sources. He has infact suggested it would be difficult to say no, but then wouldn't it be the case for most players He also made it clear that he respects the fact he is a Newcastle United player is contracted to the club.
