Former Argo Star shines - April 17, 2008

Former Argonaut and Gulf South Conference standout Keith Savage, had an assist in his first start as professional soccer player. His team, Chivas USA fell short after mounting spirited second-half comeback. Chivas USA came into Saturday's match against Columbus having never lost in Crew Stadium, and despite going down by two goals midway through the second half, that record seemed to still be intact when the visitors stormed back to tie the game at 3-3.

UWF instructor educates how to act practically - April 17, 2008

Kevin Kern, assistant professor in the Theater department, gave a preview of his new class, Practical Acting, for several professors April 11 at a Faculty Friday session presented by the Center for University Teaching, Learning and Assessment. Kern's new class is mainly directed toward non-theater students who could benefit from the practical aspects of public performance.

SGA News: - April 17, 2008

Academic Committee Chair Nick Garner spoke about the increase in tuition next semester as well as the possibility of changes in class scheduling at the Student Government Association meeting April 11. "At the faculty senate meeting we found out they are expecting a 6 percent increase in tuition for the coming year," he said.

Climate control pact spurs debate - April 17, 2008

This pact, better known as the American College & University President's Climate Commitment, has 515 signatories to date.
