Best and smallest OTA Antenna only 20 miles from towers - September 17, 2008

Hello, There are a ton of new antennas that are specifically designed for channels 7-69. I live in Sun Prairie, WI and have already tried the Winegard HD-1080. This antenna works great for all the UHF channels, but Fox (the only VHF channel) it very spotty. I have come to the realization I might need a bigger boom antenna to make sure I can get Fox (I need it for Packers football). I am considering the Winegard HD 7694P (only a 65" boom). According to my research, the 1080 has a -1db gain on...

Splitting a Triple LNB - DirecTV - September 16, 2008

I want to split my Triple LNB dish out to 4 (or maybe more) signals. Can anybody help with directionoptions here I've seen a few mutiswitches from TERK that have three inputs, but they show two satellite inputs and one regular TV antenna input, so I'm not sure if that will work. None of the stores around here have anybody that knows a thing about it. Thanks in advance for the help

I'm looking at getting a Channel Master 7000 receiver (because of its s-video output and the good reviews I've read about it). Channels blocked at work - any way around this - September 16, 2008

This is probably a shot in the dark, but for some reason, our satellite receiver at work (I'm in a NOC) receives NFL network and NHL Network and a number of other total BS channels, but it looks like they've somehow blocked or un-subscribed to ESPN and ESPN2. How this is possible, I don't know, because it's DirecTV and I didn't think that you could even NOT have ESPN. Is there any way around this I just want to watch some Champions League on ESPN2 when it's slow around here :(

Sound On Dish Network - September 16, 2008

I was watching the Steelers Browns game and the center channel was going out only on the commercials. I have a VP722 receiver hooked HDMI to an Onkyo PrePro. During the game the center channel was active. The dialogue for the commercials was very low and seemed to be coming from my left speaker. Has anyone else experienced this

Reception of two nearly "identical" stations is totally different - September 16, 2008

OK, here's my situation: Two digital VHF stations are located in Scranton PA about 75 miles from here. Since I'm at an elavation of 1600' (in NY) I recieve all of Scranton's digital UHF stations (on a Winegard PR 9200) and one of those two VHF stations (on a Winegard YA-1713). They all register nearly 100% on the coverter box signal meter. What I can't figure out is, since both of those VHF stations (on channels 11 and 13) are being diplexed from the same transmitter (both at...
