This week, theChristian Fiction Blog Allianceis introducing A Passion RedeemedRevell (September 1, 2008) byJulie LessmanMYRA'S REVIEW: Whew, this is one big book! Big in size, big in scope, big in romance, big in the power of God's love to change wayward hearts! I stayed up extra-late last night to finish this 477-page saga, and loved every minute of it. And yes, I didn't much care for Charity for the first 417 pages. But as Julie says over at Camy Tang's blog, "I absolutely LOVE Charity...

Leave it to Robin Lee Hatcher to come up with some of the neatest ideas. Browsing her blog this week, I learned about the Miche Bag and just had to have one for myself. I've been purse shopping all summer and hadn't found anything I really liked. It has to be roomy but smaller than a suitcase. It has to be stylish without drawing undue attention. It has to hold all my stuff without everything jumbling at the bottom of a black hole. This bag appears to be all that and more! One purse, one price,.

To be the best - August 20, 2008

All eyes have been on the Olympics these past couple of weeks, not to mention all the preliminary competitions as athletes vied for qualifying positions. The comparisons to the writing life are many. The ongoing practice it takes to improve. The perseverance through difficulties. The courage to keep trying despite one disappointment after another.
