JETRO Releases Its Latest Survey of Japanese Manufacturers in Northeast Asia - (Found July 2, 2008 )

Tokyo, Japan, Mar 16, 2006 - (JCN Newswire) - The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) released the results of its latest survey of Japanese-affiliated manufacturers operating in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Republic of Korea (ROK). The survey, conducted between December 2005 and January 2006, received valid responses from 455 companies (293 in China, 45 in Hong Kong, 73 in Taiwan and 44 in ROK), or 38.5% of the 1,181 firms sent questionnaires. According to the survey, 75.4%.

Phillipines Dept of Energy Approves Galoc Plan of Development - (Found July 2, 2008 )

Nido Petroleum Limited (Nido)(ASX: NDO) is pleased to announce that the Philippines Department of Energy (DOE) has approved the Galoc Plan of Development (POD). This is the key government approval for the Galoc project and follows a comprehensive review process by the DOE. The POD was submitted on 15 December 2005 and was approved on 15 March 2006. ADB Project Launched for Regional Partnership to Combat Bird Flu Threat - (Found July 2, 2008 )

Asian Development Bank (ASX: ATB) and major regional development partners today unveiled a $38 million grant project designed to counter the immediate threat to the Asia and Pacific region posed by avian influenza. The project, part of up to $470 million in funds pledged by ADB to fight avian flu, will provide resources urgently needed to help control and reduce the spread of the highly pathogenic H5N1 bird flu virus among poultry and to increase the region's preparedness for a potential human.
