However, the installation of two peristaltic hose pumps supplied by Watson-Marlow Bredel has overcome this problem, substantially reducing both the time and cost of maintenance required. Buckton Castle Water Treatment Works (WTW), based in Mossley, near Manchester, supplies up to 50ML of water a day to over 120,000 people in.http://www.water-technology.net/contractors/equipment/watson_marlow/press15.html Peristaltic Pumps the Clear Choice at Siltbusters- June 25, 2008 Separating suspended solids from liquids before discharging to sewer or water course is a headache that construction companies have had to endure for a considerable period of time. Aggravating the problem further is when materials won't settle quickly. To overcome this obstacle Monmouth-based Siltbuster has standardised on innovative 500 and 600 series peristaltic pump technology from Watson-Marlow Bredel, ensuring that construction projects can continue without delay whilst meeting very...http://www.water-technology.net/contractors/equipment/watson_marlow/press14.html WSP Water- June 24, 2008 WSP offers all of the water infrastructure engineering, planning, environmental and design services needed for the creation of the built environment and we understand the diverse market place that our clients operate in. Using around 17,000m of water annually, the plant produces a typically low-flow, high COD effluent with land application forming the existing disposal route. The water reuse project involved replacing this increasingly...http://www.water-technology.net/projects/jaspersmbr/ ROMAG AG- June 16, 2008 ROMAG specialises in the development and manufacture of screens for overflow structures. In times of excessive rainfall or storms, where do the contaminated solids present in the water go: on the ground or in the sewage treatment plant Is it a question of expenditure, i.e. investment, or a question of choosing the right solution ROMAG's high-performance combined sewer overflow (CSO) screen system presented here is a low-cost, efficient solution. It is a system where all requirements can be met..http://www.water-technology.net/contractors/stormwater/romag Hanovia Launches New UV Transmittance Analyser For Water Disinfection Monitoring- June 13, 2008 The new TX Online UV transmittance analyser from Hanovia has been specifically designed to provide accurate monitoring of UV water disinfection systems in the food and beverage, brewing, pharmaceutical, electronics, aquaculture and marine (ballast water treatment) industries. The TX Online's one-piece design allows simple mounting and uses minimal space. Its new optics provide increased accuracy and more consistent readings with online and laboratory analysers. A unique feature of the TX...http://www.water-technology.net/contractors/disinfection/hanovia/press22.html Hanovia UV Ensures Low TOC Levels In Boiler Feedwater At Kaeng Khoi 2 Power Plant In Thailand- June 12, 2008 Hanovia's medium pressure UV technology has been chosen for TOC (total organic carbon) reduction in boiler feedwater at the newly constructed Kaeng Khoi 2 power plant in Saraburi, Thailand. TOC can cause corrosion in the boiler systems of power plants so its reduction is essential. Most plants set maximum limits for TOC in boiler feedwater, the level depending on the pressure of the boiler - the lower the pressure, the lower the purity requirements. The majority of organic compounds found...http://www.water-technology.net/contractors/disinfection/hanovia/press23.html |
