Meta Puns - March 27, 2005

Here are this year's winners. None of them get through spellcheck. 1. Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you realize it was your money to start with. 2. Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly. 3. Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future. 4. Foreploy: Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of...

Because I'm a man - March 13, 2005

Got this in an email from a friend. Funny :-) "Because I'm a man, when I lock my keys in the car I will fiddle with a wire long after hypothermia, or heat stroke, has set in. AAA is not an option. I will win. "Because I'm a man, when the car isn't running very well, I will pop the hood and stare at the engine as if I know what I'm looking at. If another man shows up, one of us will say to the other, "I used to be able to fix these things, but now with all these computers and everything, I...

I Don't Care What It Cures, I'm Not Taking It... - March 2, 2005

Alongside life-size posters of Hindu nationalist leaders, Indian political activists can now buy lotions, potions and pills to cure anything from cancer to hysteria to piles -- all made from cow urine or dung. A new goratna (cow products) stall at the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) souvenir shop is rapidly outselling dry political tracts, badges, flags and saffron-and-green plastic wall clocks with the face of former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. Taekwondo - March 1, 2005

It's been about 5 months since I've taken up Taekwondo. I went up to a blue belt while I was in college about 16 years ago. And, being a geek, I created a few web pages with the stuff I need to learn and got tired of searching all over the Internet. And, in case you thought I'm not geek enough, these pages validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict! Now on to Taekwondo - What I need to know.
