Socorro Democrats split on Clinton and Obama - February 12, 2008

Clinton Nips Obama Locally - February 8, 2008

"It will be a big event, with most of the candidates attending, including senatorial and congressional candidates" The voting in the Democratic Caucus on Tuesday ended in an almost even tie between two presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama both in New Mexico and in Socorro County.The final Socorro County tally showed Hillary Clinton with 638 votes and Obama with 620. Obama was strongest in the city of Socorro, where Obama bested Clinton 496-480.In Magdalena, it was Clinton.
