World Wide Pursuing Perfection in Health Care

Marc's Weblog - (Found July 8, 2008 )

Notes from Marc Pierson before you read this proposal by David Bohm and others: This is proposal is kind of long and kind of technical and abstract. You may not like it or finish it. You may want to read at least the last section on dialogue in existing organizations. Dialogue itself is simple (if you join a group with some experience), immediately rewarding, and profoundly eye opening. You can read about it andor just do it. In either case if you want to join our dialogue group in Whatcom...

Sharing the research we all paid for. The Chronicle of Higher Education: 'Superarchives' Could Hold All Scholarly Output. Several colleges are now looking to share more of that work by building "institutional repositories" online and inviting their professors to upload copies of their research papers, data sets, and other work. The idea is to gather as much of the intellectual output of an institution as possible in an easy-to-search online collection. Tomalak's Realm &187; Interesting...

Tracking an Outbreak Minute by Minute By CATHERINE GREENMAN COMPUTER networks have been used for years by public health officials to monitor outbreaks of disease. Lori asked a question about the WWPP weblogs in the navigation area. - (Found July 8, 2008 )

There is a single outline that I update, or whoever has control of the outline. When I update it nothing really changes on any other site until the other wwpp sites publish. When the other sites publish, their copy of Radio looks on the web for the outline, if the outline is changed, you get a new set of wwpp weblogs. It works the same for the "Common links". ... That way there is one source for links we should all have in common. They should not change often, but it much easier to change them..

Troubleshooting Marc's XMLRSS feed - (Found July 8, 2008 )

Marc seems to be having some difficulty reading RSS feeds from our community. One of the first things to check, if you suspect a problem with your RSS feeds, is to unsubscribe from a feed you suspect as not working, then resubscribe to the same feed. That will force your copy of radio to reread the source feed. That worked to fix Marc's feed problem.

Stories Verses Postings - (Found July 8, 2008 )

Here is my take on stories verses posts. ... edited from definitions found at http:www.dictionary.com From these choices. ... Our posts can be seen as points of reference like fence posts on a fence. The posts define which way the fence is aligned, our posts define waypoints in our strings of thoughts. They can also be thought of as notes on a bulletin board giving a heads up piece of information that we should all know. A post can point to very few stories, usually a post points to only one..
