Slightly More Soybeans Than Expected - (Found July 8, 2008 )

WASHINGTON - Jun 3008 - SNS -- Soybean plantings in the United States look to be up 17% from last year at 74.5 million acres, according to the USDA's seeded area estimates. The USDA forecast is just above the average pre-report guess by traders. Surveys revealed they expected this year's soybean acreage to come in around 74.36 million acres, with guesses ranging between 72 and 76 million.
