The city of Vidor is in mourning Thursday night after their mayor of almost a decade passed away overnight. Joe Hopkins died at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital while in the intensive care unit. Fire in Vidor Clears the Way for a New Church - June 9, 2008

Firefighters in Orange County say they were on standby while a contracting crew burned massive piles of logs at Highway 105 and Lakeview Cutoff Road. The fire started burning around 7:00p.m. Friday night and fire crews were on the scene until just after 11:00 while contractors used heavy machinery to manage the blaze. Area school district cooking up summer camp fun - June 5, 2008

VIDOR - Children from across Orange County and the Golden Triangle are invited to participate in one or more of the numerous programs designed to entertain youth for the upcoming summer break. TxDOT will open new lanes Friday; traffic delays possible - June 5, 2008
