Revising the classification - July 5, 2008

Researchers in the USA have proposed a total revision of the Bordeaux classification of 1855. In their proposal, Mouton-Rothschild would be declassified again, while Loville-Las-Cases would be promoted. It seems unlikely the project will be realised anytime soon.

Classification stopped yet again - July 3, 2008

The controversial classification of Saint-milion wines has been stopped yet again. With immediate effect, the term "Grand Cru Class" may no longer be used for wines of the 2006 vintage or later.
