I think a 32mb iPhone is coming this year - June 24, 2008

I could be wrong, but I'm thinking Apple has got to do a 32gb iPhone. There is already a 16gb version as of February. There's a 32mb iPod touch. I'm thinking they wanted to reposition the iPhone as cheaper and they'll probably charge $399 for the 32mb version. Releasing that now spoils their cheaper message. That's all the evidence I have but it may stop me from buying a 16gb iPhone in July.

iPhone Stocks and Weather apps need an upgrade - June 16, 2008

The bloom is off the rose of iPhone 1 by now. You must be able to drill down to get more details before being cast off to the big web for more info. When I look at the weather, I need a lot more than the current temperature. How about an hour by hour forecast for the next few hours plus options for tomorrow I know, the current weather widget is almost glanceable but you have to tap first, by then you might as well see a little more info. Yahoo!'s stock widget cries out for an ability to drill...

Upgrade to the 3G iPhone Pros and Cons - June 10, 2008

I think I will upgrade. I'm going to fill this in further, but right now here are my pros and cons for the new iPhone: Cons: $30month data plan instead of current $20month No free SMS messages, so I'll be paying more per mo for that too I already have a perfectly good iPhone that still works I only use EDGE 10% of the time now. 3G replaces EDGE. Pros: 3G speeds may mean I use my iPhone more when away from wi-fi 3G speeds mean when there's no wi-fi, the experience is better...

3G iPhone with GPS, MobileMe Analysis - June 9, 2008

More News: 0. Reception is noticeably better according to Gizmodo hands-on. .5 "3G data on the maps and browser were only slightly slower than WiFi" - Gizmodo. 1. $30month: for he AT&T 3G data plan. Keep in mind, 3G will cost you an extra $10month. 1 year is $120. 2 years is $240. Also, I hear you don't get any free SMS messages (currently I get 200 freemo.) I'll pay just because there will be times when I'm stuck away from wi-fi and want to get stuff done with relative speed. 2. $45month for...

Smaller iPhones Sound Reasonable to Me - June 7, 2008

According to iLounge, these may be the screens for the 2 new iPhones due for release next week. The larger one is a 3.2 inch screen - a bit smaller than the current iPhone's 3.5 inch screen. The smaller one is a 2.8 inch screen. This all looks credible to me. We don't know, but higher screen resolutions for the same price are the norm from one year to the next. Apple likes to make each version of the iPod smaller, why not the iPhone If the new BlackBerry Bold can be 320 x 480 in a much smaller..

MacBook + iPod touch for $995 = Awesome - June 4, 2008

Whoa! Any non-starving student in the market for a computer, would be a fool to pass up this deal. There could be a lot of new students all of a sudden. ;-) Apple is making a bold competitive move just as the PC is at its weakest. To put it another way, Steve is going for the throat. This bargain offer is a way for Apple to dabble in low cost computers without hurting the status of their brand. I'm checking out what it takes to qualify as a student ASAP. The low-end MacBook has only one gig of..

Commenters Rights - June 1, 2008

I am all for commenters' rights and bloggers' rights. I don't believe that bloggers own comments. But with previous levels of technology, it has been the general practice that a blogger has the right to delete comments that are deemed inappropriate. I'm OK with that. What I would like, though, is for comments to have a life independent of a blog so that even if the blogger deletes the comment, the comment lives on. I am eager to be able to start using an independently run commenting system on...
