Eskridge opts not to change regulations on dock heights - June 29, 2008

The Eskridge City Council took no action Wednesday on a previous request from Bill Ridinger, owner of Bilbilt Construction, who had asked about changing dock restrictions.At a previous meeting, Ridinger asked the council to consider raising the maximum dock height from 12 feet to 14 feet to accommodate all the necessary elements for docking boats as well as a proper pitch on the roof and the potential for a deck on top.He said the current regulations of 12 feet allow for a short railing, but...

Maple Hill Council Gets Favorable Report From Police Officer, Reaches Agreement With Fire District - June 25, 2008

Marriage sanctity covenant outliners marriage views from multiple area ministers - June 23, 2008

Ministers in the Wabaunsee County Ministerial Alliance conducted a press conference Monday to express interdenominational cohesiveness on the issue of marriage.The alliance, which is comprised primarily of ministers at churches in the USD 329 area, has been discussing the issue of marriage for a number of years, according to Maple Hill Community Congregational Church Pastor Andrew McHenry."This came about several years ago, kind of with the recognition of the divorce epidemic," he said.

Crumbling historic bridge not built for modern times - June 21, 2008

Area 4-Hers Recipients of Grensing Family Memorial Scholarship - June 10, 2008
