Albion still waiting for a new Shirt Sponsor - June 30, 2008

Supporters of West Bromwich Albion will be forced to wait until at least mid July before they can get their hands on new home and away strips for the 200809 campaign. Despite best efforts from the club, a new shirt sponsor still remains to be found, with T Mobile having finished their sponsorship deal at the end of last season.

Baggies to take on Real Mallorca in friendly - June 17, 2008

Tony Mowbray's men will face their final test before the kick off of the 200809 Premiership season at home to Real Mallorca. The game will kick off at 3pm on Saturday 9th August - the exact time and date of the start of the football league campaign. It promises to be a high scoring game, Albion finishing last campaign as the Championships highest scorers, netting 109 goals.

New Fixtures: Key Dates - June 16, 2008

West Bromwich Albion will kick off their Premiership campaign with an away trip to Arsenal on 16th August. This will be the Baggies first visit to the Emirates Stadium, which the Gunners moved to from Highbury since Albion&146;s relegation to the Championship two years ago. The first Premiership action of the season at the Hawthorns will be against Everton.

Investment deadline for end of July - June 13, 2008

Albion chairman Jeremy Peace has set a deadline for potential investors to express an interest in West Bromwich Albion football club. Peace is searching for either a long term major shareholder to invest heavily, or a complete takeover of the club in order to provide the finances necessary to take a foothold in the Premiership.

Zoltan Gera completes Fulham switch - June 12, 2008

Midfielder Zoltan Gera has completed a move to fellow Premiership side Fulham. The move was expected after an announcement late last week that Gera had turned down Albion's final offer to keep him at the Hawthorns. The 29 year old Hungarian International, who was out of contract at Albion completed his move to Craven Cottage yesterday after passing a medical.

Paddy McCourt expected to sign soon - June 12, 2008

West Brom are believed to be close to the signing of Derry Midfielder Paddy McCourt despite reportedly having a second bid turned down. Albion's first offer for the player was the cause of some upset with Derry, with them describing the proposed deal as insulting. A second offer, believed to be £50,000 up front with the same again to come based on appearances has also been turned down.

Baggies to take on German Giants in pre season - June 12, 2008

West Bromwich Albion announced yesterday that they will travel to Europe for a pre season tour during which they will take on German giants Borussia Moenchengladbach. Mowbray's men will take a seven day tour of Holland, during which they will cross the border into Germany twice. The Tour which will take place mid July should complete the Baggies preparation for the new season.

Peace puts Baggies up for sale - June 10, 2008

The Chairman of West Bromwich Albion and Majority Shareholder Jeremy Peace has today announced that the club is up for sale. Although not owned outright, as the major shareholder Peace has revealed that they are willing to listen to any offers which would provide substantial financial backing now that the club has returned to top flight football.

Gera says no to Baggies offer - June 10, 2008

Midfielder Zoltan Gera will finally get his chance to return to the Premiership next season, but not with West Brom despite the clubs promotion to the Premier League at the end of lasst season. The 29 year old midfielder yesterday rejected a final offer from the club, which manager Tony Mowbray descibed as the best they could offer.

Mowbray confident on Phillips deal - June 9, 2008

Albion boss Tony Mowbray is reportedly confident that striker Kevin Phillips will remain at the Hawthorns next season. Contract talks between the player and club have been ongoing since January, with Phillips said to be looking for a two year deal. Chairman Jeremy Peace has so far stuck to his guns over Phillips, reiterating that at present 12 months is all the club are prepared to offer.
