Arbitration Decision Imminent - April 28, 2008

Leeds Utd have entered the final straight in what is hoped is the end of the long fight against the 15 point deduction by the Football League at the start of the season. Arbitration was completed a week ago today and the panel announced a decision would be made by 1st May. Crucially, it was not confirmed the decision would come on that date and could be sooner.

Arbitration could mean promotion - April 21, 2008

A 2-0 victory over Millwall on Saturday saw Leeds move on to 70 points with two games to go in the season, 9 behind second place Carlise and 16 behind Swansea as the season draws to a close. With a small issue of 15 points being deducted and under appeal with an Arbitration Panel, Leeds have in affect, achieved the second automatic promotion spot in League 1 without the 15 point penalty.

Arbitration could be delayed - April 17, 2008

Breaking news this evening is that Arbitration is expected to enter a fourth day and the result may not be announced for up to five weeks. The hearing began on Wednesday and the result was initially expected before the weekends fixture on Saturday. Warnings were given that the result could be made next week but this latest news would cause uproar.

Arbitration: Is no news good news - April 17, 2008

It's official Day 2 of the Appeal to overturn the 15 point deduction by the Football League, and with no news circulation so far, we assume the Arbitration hearing is still ongoing. It is understood one of the key issues to be discussed was that Leeds signed an agreement prior to the start of the League that they could not appeal against the decision.

The Independant Arbitration hearing begns today with Leeds United trying to overturn the 15 point deduction imposed at the start of the season. A three man panel will hear arguements from both sides and an undsclosed location (beleived to be in London) before deliberating on a vedict.

Arbitration for Leeds - Overview - April 14, 2008

Leeds Utd and the Football League begin Arbitration proceedings on Wednesday in a dispute over the 15 point sanction imposed on the club at the start of the season. The penalty was imposed after Leeds went into Administration but were unable to secure a '75% approved' CVA which is built into League rules to allow the club to rejoin the League and continue to play.
