Slowing Down Audio in Avid Xpress - August 3, 2007

If you are an Avid Xpress or Media Composer user, you've probably discovered that when you perform a motion effect, the audio doesn't slow down with the video. To have matching audio that is 'time compressed', you will need to use an audio suite filter called 'time compression expansion. Analyzing Frames of Encoded Video with Episode - August 1, 2007

The Episode encoding tool lets you analyze the frames of your encoded video file. In the Job Batch you can select the applied preset of an already encoded video and hold down the Control key and choose Open in Preview from the contextual menu. When the Preview window opens you will see three tabs Source, Preview and Encoded. Choose the Encoded tab and you will see the result of the encoded video plus a graph of all the encoded frames.
