Cook, who painted people by watching them in pubs and clubs shot to fame in the mid 70's with her unique style and often funny pictures.Cook was still producing images up until recently, and at the end of 2006, the Portal Gallery in London held an exhibition to celebrate her 80th Birthday.Jess Wilder, co-owner of the Portal Gallery, said: "It's very sad indeed.
