working mom's webblog: VW Bug - July 23, 2004

For no reason other than it wasn't very expensive and more importantly, I wanted it, about 3 years ago I bought a 1970 VW Beetle from its original owner. I already had a car and we had a truck so this was purely a whim. Whims are good. So, about 5 months ago I took my Bug to NuVintage VWs to have them restore it. I know, my guilt and shame at not trying my hand at it myself has been experienced but weighing the option of doing it myself and having it ever get done meant having someone else do.

This is the first chapter in this log and I'll keep it short. Probably most of my blogs will be short, unless I'm on a tear. I have no idea if anyone will ever read this or if it is just a cathartic outlet for an over-worked, under-appreciated working mom, but it'll be here nonetheless.
