April 27 - God Bless America (from my couch) - April 27, 2007

Finally, a degree I can sink my teeth in! I can learn how to look constipated, wear sunglasses, and spy out of windows on my neighbors. And the best part I don't even have to leave the comfort of my own home to learn how to defend our country from random acts of senseless terrorism! No car chases or running through dark streets to catch evil. From my couch, I can safely watch Montel announce the newest baby's daddy while learning the ins and outs of catching criminals on the streets of our...

April 26 - Blah Blah Blah - April 26, 2007

IMG_4349 Originally uploaded by AnOpenWindow. How is it I was all "gung ho" to be consistent with writing in my journal this year, but I have fallen flat on my face as of late Who knows. I guess I either don't have anything to writ about, or I can't think of anything to write about. It could be both.I did write a letter to my grandma today. She lives in Albuquerque all alone in a small apartment. She does have a few friends there, and my family does visit her from time to time, but...

April 18 - - April 19, 2007

IMG_4354 Originally uploaded by AnOpenWindow. Work has been pretty busy lately. I am not complaining at all, believe me. There was some time in March where I was pretty bored, but that has changed. And now the company I work for announced it will be merging with our competitor -- provided we get permission from the Department of Justice. I am not worried that my job will go away due to the merge, after all I have worked here for almost 8 years now, so I could easily find a new job or..

April 11 - Savannah Trip - April 11, 2007

100_0626 Originally uploaded by AnOpenWindow. Jimmy and I had a good time while in Savannah this past weekend. We stayed at the Westin, which was right on the river (but on the opposite side of the city). So even though we had to take a ferry across the river any time we wanted to go into the city (or go to your room), it was worth the visit. Although I think I would like to stay INSIDE the city next time.Anyway, we did the normal sightseeing trek, but we stuck to being cheap and just..

April 6 - Please Flush - April 6, 2007

100_0401 Originally uploaded by AnOpenWindow. Jimmy and I are leaving town this afternoon and heading down to Savannah for a nice long weekend. We'll be staying at the Westin! We got a decent rate online, but didn't realize it was on the other side of the river until we had paid for the room. No biggie. The Westin has a ferry that shuttles people across the river to the Historic Distric. Although, I am not sure if there is a charge or not. Being a tourist town, I am sure there is. ...

April 4 - Spring is here! - April 4, 2007

100_0515 Originally uploaded by AnOpenWindow. Things have been going pretty well for me lately. The chorus performance and silent auction went off without any disasters, so I have been resting easier since then. And a short mini-vacation in coming up as Jimmy and I head to Savannah for the weekend. That should be fun. Right now it is his spring break, and he has been at home sleeping and playing on his new computer -- a Mac. He was fed up with the Windows computers he has had in the...
