In a shocking move, the Democratic party has nominated John Fuck'n Kerry for President of the United States. If you saw this coming your powers of prediction shadow even those of Nostradamus. Personally, I was all geared up for Moseley Braun to take it down -- it was a gimme I figured. Big Sur, Little Lady - July 15, 2004

For those not in "the know," K and I made our way up to Big Sur last weekend. Beginning in Newport Beach, I drove up the coast to Long Beach, picked up my date, and continued into the gnarlyness of LA along the 101. We cruised all the way into San Louis Obispo, where we gorged on a three course meal at the Big Sky Cafe. Night at the Cats-bury - July 4, 2004

Tonight was unexpectedly spent at the animal ER. I found a chest wound on my cat and it looked pretty nasty. So off we went. It turned out to be a puss-infected abscess that was from a fight about a week ago. It also turned out to be about a 14" deep. So the vet cleaned it out and then cleaned out my bank account -- $162! -- and we left to begin our regiment of antibiotics twice a day and warmwet compresses four times a day (what am I supposed to do, get a live in nurse for my cat!).
