The Life of a RavenThe Life of a Raven - LiveJournal.comEndless Ocean semi-review- February 27, 2008 Endless Ocean is basically just a SCUBA diving simulator for the Wii. And it's not all that "simulative" either, since the sharks don't eat you, you can't drown or even get lost, and your job is to "just hang out and dive whenever you feel like it." :) While there are goals and unlockable areas, you're not required to do anything you don't want... dive when you like, enjoy the pretty scenery. You can't lose. (Although, as my son found out, you can lose your client when giving diving...http://ravenx99.livejournal.com/28058.html Wiiiiiiii!- February 27, 2008 I went and did something somewhat unexpected... I bought the family a Wii. I didn't buy a Playstation until they'd been out for years and had dropped to $120. The same for the Gamecube... But if I don't go to the snack machine, I'm going to sit here for two hours until lunch, continually...http://ravenx99.livejournal.com/27439.html Pinewood Derby... wow.- February 6, 2008 Okay, we finally had our Pinewood Derby... and my son got first place in the Pack and a spot in the District race in April.I have mixed feelings about it. Nathan helped design, build and paint it, but he's only seven and has a short attention span... he drew the rough plan, I refined it, he cut part of the rough cut, I finished it and sanded it on the belt sander, he used the rasp to round over the corners, I finished them with a file, and he sanded for as long as he had patience for. He...http://ravenx99.livejournal.com/27198.html |
