Unconfirmed Rumor of a Military Coup in the USA- August 13, 2005 There is an unconfirmed rumor spreading in the blogosphere of a military coup here in the USA. The mainstream media is reporting that four star general Kevin P. Byrnes was fired from his top Pentagon spot for "sexual misconduct," but a number of blogs are reporting that his participation in a coup against the White House is the real reason. This is probably just being spread by conspiracyhttp://paleoconservative.blogspot.com/2005/08/unconfirmed-rumor-of-military-coup-in.html Revolt from the Heartland by Joseph Scotchie- August 1, 2005 Here is a review of Scotchie's book by Kevin Holtsberry at Blogcritics.org. This one is not so complimentary as the one by Sam Francis. It seems to make some good points, however. Paleoconservatives ought to see if they have good answers to them.http://paleoconservative.blogspot.com/2005/08/revolt-from-heartland-by-joseph.html The Paleo Persuasion- August 1, 2005 Here the late Sam Francis writes in The American Conservative magazine on paleoconservatism and a book by Joseph Scotchie called Revolt from the Heartland: The Struggle for an Authentic Conservatism. It is a good review.http://paleoconservative.blogspot.com/2005/08/paleo-persuasion.html The End of Paleoconservatism- August 1, 2005 Is paleoconservatism dead Apparently paleoconservative author James P. Lubinskas and other prominent paleoconservatives thought so in November of 2000 after Pat Buchanan lost his last bid for the Presidency. In The End of Paleoconservatism he talks about the infighting among conservatives that ultimately led to the supremacy of the neoconservatives over the paleoconservatives for the heartshttp://paleoconservative.blogspot.com/2005/08/end-of-paleoconservatism.html |
