RIP Grandma Burnet - May 30, 2008

Luke's grandmother passed away this morning. Lost the will to live. It was her husband who died a few months back.So after our relaxing beach trip we'll be up in Auckland for the funeral. And Tanuki's Cave. Well ... I mean, you gotta balance out the bad with the good.Sad. :(I wonder tho if I'm going to be hit with a big wave of regret that we're not moving up there. Doubt it.

So today ... - May 27, 2008

I had job-ish interviews at Weta and Xero. And they both went well. Note to self: Never, ever do two job interviews in one day. Particularly with two organisations that are as different as chalk and cheese. Queen's Birthday this weekend. I'm retiring to a house on the coast with a tower and sea views. No, really. A three story house with a tower with windows all the way 'round. Life is certainly a wild adventure right now. Hoooooo boy.

Decision made - May 16, 2008

Luke and I have scrapped our plans to move to Auckland. Wellingtonians we'll remain - for a whole host of reasons. The extreme waves of relief I feel right now and the sudden lightness in my heart is evidence this was the right choice to make. The whole mind-shift and self-examination that's come from this have proved to be as inspiring as an actual cross-island move. At 12 the price - at least! Funny how things turn out. :)

Crisis of Faith - May 12, 2008

Well, turns out Luke and I are both having reservations about moving to Auckland. :(I thought I had this stuff sorted. Ah well. Bugger. I guess we have about 3.5 hours to change our mind and stay here or get the ball rolling on the whole move thing.Gnargh. I'm glad I brought it up with Luke though and found he was feeing about as 'meh' about the move as I was. Cries
